No.135 Network installation
The job is done, so now we can tell the story. First, many thanks to the company for trusting MaeSuai System with this project. The customer asked us for a quote and accepted it straight away, instead of asking us to quote just as a comparison, like many who ask for a quote and then go quiet. To be honest, we don't mind being the comparison quote either: we're happy just to see our shop name and website on the paper. As for price, MaeSuai System is certainly more expensive, but for what the customer paid, the system is well worth the money.
That was a long rant, as if we'd been holding it in for ages, haha. On to the job: the installation was booked for 3/2/2024 at 6 pm, after the company closed, so it wouldn't disturb their work.

- Retired the old firewall (it's a mouse stand now) and put in a new CCR2116, running with the cloud in no time.
- Reconfigured all the Cisco network devices, core and access switches, and brought them all up to the cloud [local to cloud]. Is it secure? Don't worry, bring it on: our back end runs on a global CDN.
Before, fixing anything remotely meant going through a PC inside, the firewall, a VPN or port forwarding. Now the whole system sits on one page and can be controlled from there. The IT staff will have an easy life now.
